What is an Original/Limited Edition, and what is a  "Giclée" on Canvas?

 Giclée ( pronounced ghe-clay) is a French word, meaning "the spray of ink." Giclée refers to a fine art print created with digital technology. Our Giclées are high resolution, photorealistic ink-jet prints with archival, stable, UV resistive inks on  artist quality canvas substrate, representing the finest in color reproduction. Each Giclée is stretched and attached to wood canvas stretcher bars, and then coated with UV resistant coatings and varnish, to insure longevity. 

An Original/Limited Edition is a giclee on canvas of the original artwork that has been completely overpainted or extensively hand embellished with oil paint, by the original artist who created the painting.  Each Original/Limited Edition is an original oil painting and is unique within the limited edition series.  Finally, each Original/Limited Edition is signed on the front by the artist and numbered on the back of the canvas, as part of the limited edition series.
